If you are a high school student from Argentina and made an animated short film, you can participate in our National animated short competition for young people between 15 and 19 years old.

The best animated shorts will receive these awards:

First prize

A full scholarship in careers Technician in Production and 3D Animation I Comprehensive Cartoon Production (at the choice of the winner) and Diploma.

Second prize

A half scholarship in the races of Technician in Production and 3D Animation I Comprehensive Cartoon Production (at the choice of the winner) and Diploma.

Third award

A scholarship in one journey (four-month duration) Traditional animation or A2D Digital Cut Out Animation or a journey of Multimedia production (at the choice of the winner) and Diploma.

Terms and Conditions

Animated shorts of up to 10 minutes in length, made individually or collectively by young people between 15 and 19 years old, who are studying until the last year of high school, or who have recently graduated and are not studying tertiary and / or university degrees, can participate. linked to animation.

Animated short films that have not been commercially released in public rooms or on-demand TV or audiovisual platforms, nor commercially published, may participate.

The submissions of the animated shorts will be presented for viewing in online format through a YouTube, Vimeo, or Google drive link.

Members

The shorts can be made individually or by more than one member. In the latter case, a person from the team will act as the person responsible for the short and will be the one to send the documentation.

Only the owner of the copyright can register the audiovisual work and he himself must sign the registration form as a sign in accordance with the bases and accept the partial or total use of his works by the institution. The participant assumes responsibility for the veracity of this fact.

In the case of audiovisual works presented by minors, the minor's owner will be in charge of filling out and signing the registration form and must provide their personal contact information.

By registering the short film at the festival, the participant authorizes Image Campus to freely exhibit it and waives all financial compensation for this concept.
The person responsible will be, if awarded, the beneficiary of the material prize. The filmmakers may decide to share the amount of the scholarship and subdivide it, always among team members duly consigned in the credits of the short film itself. The scholarships are non-transferable to third parties.

If the short was made in a public or private institution, of formal education or recreational workshop, the institution and / or professors and / or professionals involved in that process will not be able to claim rights over the material, other than the reciprocal mention of their role in this Festival.

Participants will bear the responsibility for possible damage caused to third parties by the projection of their work. In this sense, Image Campus disclaims any legal responsibility that may have been incurred with the exhibition of these works.

Important information

The theme and narrative genre of the works are totally free. Works with discriminatory content in terms of race, gender, religion, political ideas or nationality will not be accepted; as well as human or animal abuse, scenes of violence, pornography and / or crimes against integrity.

Image Campus, through the jury, reserves the right to challenge the presentation of materials that violate these basic ethical principles, as well as the detection of works already on the market.
Works in any language may participate.
Those shorts in a language other than Spanish must necessarily include subtitles in Spanish.
The shorts must have a title and will be labeled and subject to a vote by the public through the title entered in the contest registration. All files sent must be labeled with the same title for identification.

Image Campus, through the jury, reserves the right to challenge the presentation of materials that violate these basic ethical principles, as well as the detection of works already on the market.
The duration of the works must be equal to or less than 10 minutes, including credits.

By submitting their short, participants are responsible for possible damages caused to third parties by the production and screening of their works, copyright problems or others. In this sense, Image Campus disclaims any legal responsibility derived from the incorrect use of sources and copyrights for the exhibition of these works.

Image Campus reserves the right to select the works to be included in the sample from among all the short films received. The Selection Committee will evaluate all aspects related to the works: ideas, script, direction, production, interpretation, style, montage, characters, photography, sound design, positively highlighting the artistic quality over the production.

The non-selection of a work will be duly communicated before the day of the screening of shorts and awards, by the means of contact listed in the registration form.
Submissions of audiovisual works will be presented for viewing in online format through a link Youtube, Vimeo, or Google drive.

Shipment of FORM IN CONFORMITY WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS with the link of the work, signed by the director (and a responsible adult in the case of those under 18 years of age).

The selection and awarding of short films will be carried out at the proposal of a jury appointed by Image Campus and will be made up of references from the audiovisual industry and / or teachers from the Institution.

The criteria that the jury will follow for the award will be:
  • Official awards - Best short film, 2nd place and 3rd. Market Stall
: The work of the short will be globally valued: script, direction, editing, narrative rhythm and time, originality, character design, sound design, etc.

  • Special Mentions:
The jury may award, along with the official prizes, mentions in the different artistic or thematic areas addressed.

Prizes may be void if the jury so decides.

The jury's decision is final.
The shorts and ALL the registration documents must be sent until February 15, 2021 at 23:59 p.m.
