Double Certification Title:

Brief introduction

This course aims to introduce students to the world of Augmented Reality (AR) and its specific application through the development of RA applications.

Course Features:

This course, unlike others, allows us to know in depth the theoretical and technical aspects of RA and image processing and then capture what has been learned in the development of RA applications using Unity and Vuforia.

Shared certification University of Belgrano and Image Campus.

Target:

Criteria for the selection of candidates:
• Application programmers
• Graphic designers with programming skills
• Interface designers
Intermediate programming knowledge is required including object-oriented programming, preferably in C #.
Sending a CV to evaluate the admission of the interested party.

Objectives:

• Understand and apply the basic concepts Augmented Reality (AR) and Computer Vision
• Understand how to implement these new technologies in any industry (marketing, entertainment, health, etc.)
• Obtain the necessary knowledge to develop Augmented Reality applications using Unity and Vuforia

Course duration:

The full course lasts for 36 classroom hours y 12 hours for the resolution of a non-face-to-face project, with tutorials and virtual accompaniment.

  • 2 theoretical modules with practical demonstrations (15 hours)
  • 1 practical module (15 hours)
  • 1 implementation project: 18 hours Total, with two face-to-face days: a consultation and progress class (3 hours) and a final evaluation instance (3 hours) y 12 hours Working with virtual accompaniment.
  • Modality: 6 hours per week (2 classes of 3 hours each)

Approval and Certification:

Minimum attendance 75% of face-to-face classes.

Approval of an integrating project

La University of Belgrano e Image Campus extend the respective certificate of attendance, to those who meet only the minimum required assistance requirement, and the certificate of approval of the Diploma in Augmented Reality: a practical approach with Unity and Vuforia to those who meet the approval requirements.

Methodology

The course will be of the theoretical / practical type with a strong orientation to problem solving using programming. The methodology used will be:
  • Theory supported with documentation.
  • Exhibition through slides.
  • Discussions on specific topics.
  • Practices where students will develop the concepts learned.
  • Group presentation on a specific topic related to the course.
  • Final Integrative Project

Teaching materials

Teachers will upload to a virtual classroom pedagogical material in digital format, also support bibliography recommendations, for those who want to deepen the knowledge acquired.
