What do you learn?

The career allows you to understand and professionally carry out all the processes to carry out an audiovisual production with 3D content from an artistic and technical aspect. You will acquire the knowledge and skills to model and texture vehicles, weapons or assets so that your pieces look of superior quality.

The 3D Animation Technique for Video Games at a distance is aimed at training future professionals specialized in the animation of characters for video games. The course will cover the animation process in detail: from the general movement of an object, the proportions of realistic characters and creatures, to the expression of the smallest facial gestures. To animate is to reproduce a movement to convey an emotion, which in the case of video games requires its articulation with the game mechanics and the gameplay experience. In addition to technical knowledge, you will learn: fundamental artistic concepts of animation, post-production and the intended communication/interactive process for each video game.

Graduates of this course will be able to:

Correctly estimate the production times of animated sequences, depending on the quality, style and characteristics of the animation.

Interpret the idea of ​​a scene and its importance in the context of a 3D production, with the aim of making proposals for actions and movements in accordance with the creative direction.

Understand the link between game mechanics and the adaptation of character animation, with the aim of contributing to the gaming experience.

Make different animated sequences of the same character, taking into account the homogeneity of their movements and actions.

Analyze the different elements of an animation system (Rig) and be able to validate and evaluate its functionalities, depending on the needs of the creative direction.

Understand the communicational, creative and artistic processes of a 3D production.

Know the different classic animation styles and identify their characteristics.

Assimilate the pillars of the Art Direction in animation of a 3D production.

Make animated sequences of characters and objects based on the vision of the artistic direction in animation.

Can I work in other disciplines?
Yes, as an animator specialized in video games, you will have all the tools to perform in any 2D and 3D animation production. For example, if you were an animator specialized in cinema, this would be more difficult since the interactivity that a video game has is not contemplated in the work process.

Are there national industries with employment opportunities?
There is a growing demand for professionals specializing in 3D animation for video games. There are very important companies and studios that carry out video game projects of different magnitudes (from hyper-casual games to AAA) for the internal and external market. Several of these studies have been consulted and have actively participated together with Image Campus in the design of this study plan.

Is the title official?
Yes. Official resolution number RES 1154-22 – Ministry of Education – DGEGP

Who is it for?
To high school graduates who like video games and within them an important place that animation occupies for motivation and better gameplay.

Can I take first year if I matters of secondary (high school)?
Yes, you must present the corresponding certificate. Until you take all the subjects, you take the partial exams as a conditional student and you will not be able to take final exams.

What happens if I do not pass any of the subjects I owe from the middle level?
To start the 2nd semester, that is, from the month of August, you cannot owe more than 1 (one) previous subject of secondary school, which must be rendered at the latest by the end of October.

What are the entry requirements?
Pay annual tuition and present the secondary degree, along with the rest of the documentation and you will have to take a compulsory leveling course.

What documentation do I have to submit?

  • Photocopy of the Legalized Medium Level Certificate of Studies (secondary).

Do I have to go to Image Campus for registration?
You can manage your registration in person or remotely. In this case, you must complete the online pre-registration form with your data, send the front and back of the DNI or Passport (scanned) and pay the registration fee via bank deposit or electronic transfer.

Yes, because it is designed to start from scratch.

Do they approve approved subjects in other institutions?
Only subjects that have been approved in other institutions incorporated into official Argentine education are approved. In any case, as each of the subjects is so specific, we may ask you to partially submit the contents of the subjects.

What are the requirements for foreign students?
The requirement for foreign students is to present the validation of foreign studies of medium level, a procedure that is carried out in Argentina.

Is my high school degree valid if it was issued abroad?
The foreign title is valid as long as the validation is processed in Argentina, according to the requirements that depend on the country of origin (https://www.argentina.gob.ar/educacion/tramites/convalidar-titulo-secundario-de -countries-with-agreement)

Do I need to report to Image Campus for assessments/exams?
