Unreal Engine, by Epic Games, is one of the most widely used real-time 3D creation tools in the animation and video game industry for creating interactive experiences and immersive virtual worlds. The software has been used to create everything from television commercials to applications within the series “The Mandalorian” and the latest adaptation of “Lion King”.
In this Talk, Martina will take us to the world of Unreal Engine. It will present the main characteristics of the engine, its applications and what is the development of the platform in Latin America.

Martina Santoro has been developing games and interactive content for more than a decade. With experience in animation production, she founded OKAM STUDIO in 2010 and worked in the local community before becoming president of the Argentine Association of Game Developers and later one of the founders of the Latam Videogame Federation. She has also worked with the Inter-American Development Bank on the book about the games industry in Latam: Videogames: More than a game: the unknown successes of Latin American and Caribbean studies and was selected as one of the women in the game: 100 Gaming professionals. She was editor-in-chief of Inside Games Latam, a key resource for Latam Games Industry Business News, and Moushon.biz. He now works as an evangelist for Unreal Engine at Epic Games, collaborating with teams of developers, business partners, and education.
